CT LEAGUE OF MUSEUMS' AWARDS OF MERIT - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The Connecticut League of Museums recognizes excellence in museum work through its annual Awards of Merit. The awards recognize institutions and individuals who demonstrate the highest professional standards and who enhance and further the understanding of Connecticut’s culture and history.
The purpose of the awards is to recognize the care, thought, and effort invested in these exceptional contributions to the museum field, and to inspire and encourage others.
CLHO presents Awards of Merit in two categories:
- Projects - include most types of public-facing museum work, including but not limited to: exhibitions and curatorial projects; research projects; websites and digital projects; online exhibitions; books and other publications; educational and other public programs; talks and lecture series; documentaries, films, and videos; demonstrations, restorations, and preservation projects; etc.
- Individual Achievement - awards are awards for individuals who have made significant and longstanding contributions to the museum field in Connecticut beyond the local level. These statewide awards are intended for those whose achievements rise beyond a single town or locality. Self-nomination is not permitted for individual achievement awards.
Nominations from individuals, museums, libraries, history organizations, and other cultural institutions in CT.

MATTATUCK MUSEUM SEEKING ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
The Mattatuck Museum is a vibrant institution dedicated to engaging its community by interpreting the history of the greater Waterbury region and showcasing American art from the colonial period to the present.
They are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator. This role is ideal for a candidate with high energy, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to contribute to a wide range of activities.
This position is responsible for managing administrative aspects of fundraising activities, donor database management, preparing gift acknowledgment letters, supporting the Executive Director in daily tasks, assisting with Board relations, and contributing to general office management.
The Museum offers a full benefits package including vacation, holidays, health/dental insurance, and 403(b) plan, as well as support for professional development to qualified employees.

SHARON PLAYHOUSE SEEKING TEACHING ARTISTS!
The Sharon Playhouse seeks passionate and dynamic teaching artists for an array of teaching opportunities. Seeking teaching artists with experience working with any age group, from toddlers through adults, for Sharon Playhouse classes, in-school and after-school residencies, and creative team positions for our YouthStage productions. Sharon Playhouse teaching artists are contracted on a freelance, per class/production basis, and work a variety of schedules based on programming needs and teacher availability. Weekday, weekday evening, and weekend hours are available, all year long.
The Sharon Playhouse faculty is comprised of teaching artists with wide ranges of experience, both as teachers and as theater artists. Priority will be given to teaching artists who have housing within a commutable distance to the Sharon Playhouse. Hired teaching artists will be required to undergo background checks, at the expense of The Sharon Playhouse.

- Understanding of basic classroom management strategies

Salary: Based on teaching artist’s experience and the needs of the educational program, hourly pay ranges from $40-$70 per hour.

They seek to hire a Director of Engineering to lead product engineering efforst during critical phases of growth.
Location: Remote, U.S. Based
Status: Exempt, Full Time
Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 per year
The Director of Engineering is expected to lead product engineering efforts during a critical phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, will partner closely with their Head of Product to evolve and maintain their core platform, which powers care navigation, community referrals, and member engagement across their social prescribing ecosystem. You will also supervise contracted resources and agency partners to help scale the product for new geographies and partners.

MATTATUCK MUSEUM SEEKING ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
The Engagement Coordinator is a creative and strategic leader responsible for designing and managing innovative, high-impact public events that drive community engagement and growth. This role is key to shaping how the museum connects with the community, delivering memorable and accessible experiences for the general public, families, and adults.
The Coordinator leads a diverse portfolio of programs including MATT on the GO, offsite outreach events/after school programs, Kids’ Art Workshops/Story Time, Teen Time, Intermediate Art Classes, lectures including Cocktails and Conversations & History and Hops, wellness programs, and large-scale public events like Family Fun Dayz and Home Away From Homeschool. The role also shares responsibility for the planning and execution of van trips.

YOUTH SPEECH TOURNAMENT - CALL FOR SPEAKERS
CT Speech & Action and The Word are excited to invite students in your network to participate in their upcoming Youth Speech Tournament.
Participation is completely free and open to all interested students—whether they're passionate speakers or new to public speaking. We've also included detailed resources to help students prepare and feel confident.
Event Highlights:
- 3-minute original speech on a social issue of their choice (slam poetry-inspired format)
- Cash Prizes: $300 for 1st place, $150 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd, plus a bonus bingo prize!
- Resume booster & networking with local leaders and politicians

CALL FOR YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS - CELEBRATION OF YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS
Submissions for ASAP!'s 15th Annual Celebration of Young Photographers is open.
ASAP invites students grade 6 - 12 to submit their photography for a chance to participate in a juried exhibition.
A panel of professional photographers selects 60 photos for a public exhibition, recognizing the top four photographers for their outstanding and thoughtful work based on the yearly theme.
This years theme is Transformation.
Artists can submit up to two (2) photographs to be considered.
