Requiem For Being: An Installation
“Taking bee colony collapse disorder as a point of departure, this ceramic art installation will be a meditation on otherness, ambivalence and disconnectedness,” the artist, Cate Bourke said in a release.
The exhibit corresponds with the creation of a pollinator habitat project at Wisdom House this spring. The goal of the project is to attract and support pollinators as well as benefit the larger ecosystem.
Bourke holds an MFA in visual art from Vermont College of Fine Arts and has been an artist in residence at East Hartford High School as well as a teacher of pottery. She has had solo exhibits in Vermont, New Jersey and Connecticut.Artist Cate Bourke will have an artist talk on Saturday, June 23 at 3:30 pm
