Close But Not Touching: Book Reading and Signing
Jack Sheedy (and maybe a guest?) will discuss and read from "Close But Not Touching," the posthumous poetry collection by his late wife, Jean Sands, followed by free refreshments and sales of the book, published in 2017 by Antrim House.
Jean Sands was a poet and journalist, author of the 2009 poetry collection "Gandy Dancing," which won an Eric Hoffer Legacy Award. Jean died in October 2016 after completing the manuscript for "Close But Not Touching."
Jack Sheedy is a journalist, playwright, poet and performer, author of the 2012 memoir "Sting of the Heat Bug" (Signalman Publishing). He is a regular participant in local open mic events.
