58th Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols
The 58th annual Festival of Lessons and Carols will be held Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hotchkiss Chapel. This traditional service of Christmas readings and choral music features the Hotchkiss Chorus led by faculty member Jack Brown. They will be assisted by Joe Rose, guest organist, with faculty member Teresa Mango playing the harp. Hotchkiss Chaplain and faculty member Lou Pressman will lead the service.
The chorus will sing a variety of classic a cappella carols as well as contemporary settings from English and American composers. The audience is invited to join in singing several traditional carols throughout the program. Following tradition, the evening closes with the singing of Silent Night by candlelight.
The audience for this event includes students, faculty, staff, family and community members. There is no admission charge, however seating is limited, so please arrive early to ensure a seat.
Founded in 1891, The Hotchkiss School is a coeducational boarding school, located at 11 Interlaken Road in Lakeville, Connecticut.
