WHAT IS A CLEARINGHOUSE EVENT?

This is a tool for organizations to SAVE THE DATE, even before all details are in hand.

A Clearinghouse Event is one for which you do not have all the details, i.e. it is in the planning stages, but you want to ‘hold’ the date, with the aim that other organizations will avoid planning their major annual event on that same date.

In addition to a date, you should at least have a location, and name of organization.

Even if your event is not considered a "Cultural Event", you can be included as a Clearinghouse Event if you are doing a major annual event or benefit, and wish to list it in order that other organizations avoid using the same date for their major event (for instance: NW CT Chamber of Commerce “Celebration of Excellence” Dinner; or The Litchfield Hills Bike-a-thon).
